Well, I've always had a passion and interest in photography, being in front of, and behind the camera was always something fun for me.

I bought my first professional camera in 2015 while I was living in Gatineau QC. I'd ask my friends to model for me so I can practice my art. Once I moved back to my hometown, the desire to take photos grew more and more. I decided to start taking it a little more seriously and started asking coworkers and people I knew if I could practice on them so I can build a portfolio. Eventually I decided I might want to start charging for my art and make a little business out of it.

But I was scared, I was worried it would take away my passion for it and being a Christian, I wanted to pursue God's will for my life. I decided to start praying about it and asked God if this was what He wants for me.

I also knew I didn't want to call my business after my own name. I wanted something to represent the brand I was building, which I didn't want to be the center of, even though as the years pass, I realize I am my brand, and am starting to embrace that more and more.

So I asked God if this was in fact His will for me, to give me a name for it so I can know He's putting His stamp of approval on this. I then opened my bible because what better way to hear from God than through His word, I see the words Lily Blossom and they jumped out at me. I knew that was it. I love to incorporate flowers into my work so I knew it was just a perfect fit for what I envisioned for my business.

I also liked the way it sounded and the way it looked written, so I decided to go ahead and pursue the next steps in starting this business.
